Aggie Shields is a student organization founded in 2014 that manages a "Veteran & Dependent Textbook Loan Library" that has been established through donations of used textbooks and new textbook funds. Aggie Shields has saved student veterans and dependents over half a million dollars in textbook costs over the last seven years and that number will continue to increase. Aggie Shields has been very successful in alleviating the burden of textbook costs for many military-affiliated students and is currently seeking donations to enhance its support by increasing the number of books available to veterans in need.
